This quilt was made as a mystery in 2021. It is busy with lots of different star designs, how clever was Michelle (the designer) to come up with these. You could use it as a wall hanging or a lap quilt.
For a bit of fun, I used a novelty background fabric and then pieced the backing with fabrics from the front, so essentially it could be reversible.
Quilt Size: 156cm x 158cm (61.5 x 62.5″)
Made with Cotton Fabrics, and cotton wadding.
The backing is pieced, using stripes of the cake stand background fabric, and stripes of fabrics used in the quilt top. The quilting design is a large meandering feathery curvy design using a cream thread. The bind is a blending mid beige checkered fabric.
The quilt design is by Michelle Renee Hiatt of Sew On the Go, and is called Holiday Sensation.
This quilt can be washed either by hand or in the machine on a gentle, cold cycle.
I usually use colour catchers in the wash too, to catch any dye runs which have been missed in the prewash.
I usually dry my quilts on the line, but you can put it in the dryer on a warm not hot cycle.
