I made this quilt using a mix of 2.5″ strips, and a coordinating outside border called Frisky by Zen Chic.
This block is very versatile and can be arranged in many ways, in this case in a step down pattern.
It could be a small lap quilt or a baby quilt.

Made with Cotton Fabrics, and wool/poly wadding.
The backing is a batik wideback, with splotches of orange, green and yellow. The quilting design is a large modern design with stars, circles and rounded boxes using a thread. The bind is the same bright yellow as is used in the inside border.
This quilt can be washed either by hand or in the machine on a gentle, cold cycle.
I usually use colour catchers in the wash too, to catch any dye runs which have been missed in the prewash.
I usually dry my quilts on the line, but you can put it in the dryer on a warm not hot cycle.
